Human beings are an amazing creature that able to think to figure out solution of problems. We have mind to think and get an idea how things works but the truth is not all of us could think the same things as others. This creativity could help us to invent something new and help to develop the community. We generate ideas from such diverse people. Different people have different perspective. Intellectual property is a legal field that refers to creations of the mind such as musical, literary, and artistic works; inventions; and symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce. This Intellectuals property (IP) should be protected as to inhibit people from use and steal others ideas. A copyright law is regulating to give an exclusive right to the owner to have right to control reproduction or adaptation of such works for a certain period of time. Like Prof Perry said during class, the exclusive right is a right to exclude others from using our works thus providing an incentive for the author or inventor to develop and share the information rather than keep it secret. The legal protections granted by copyright laws are credited with significant contributions toward economic growth. Some might use this exclusive right to earn money. However, Lessig raise a question about copyright laws which is it could restrain people from being creative and we are not able to develop more skills. This is because we have to ask the permission of the owner if we want to modify or calibrate the works. So, is intellectual property should be exclusive right or public domain? There is goes common creative as an alternative where is the owner still have right to their works but they can share it to others and they can add things to their works as long they don't use it for intent of commercial. What I can concluded is copyright laws is important as we want to protect our works and for certain people who want to share their works, they can use common creative which is some right reserved.

I totally agree on what Lily Said about Human and Intellectual Property. At last of this article she touch about the video has shown in the class on several weeks ago about Commons Creative. So, we know, instead of using a symbol C inside a round shape to protect our work, now we have an alternative to use a symbol double C in a round shape to share our works. This alternative tries to pull us to share our works in legitimate way and let us being creative with sharing. The concept of creative commons actually had exists before it being created like Wikipedia. Wikipedia is the place we can alternate, modify and create the content that has some information in it. But, it cannot be totally 100% trusted and now we are discouraging to use Wikipedia as a source of our information in our assignment. For me, the problem of Wikipedia might also be happened to creative commons. Who knows? It is because we do not know that whether the information is totally correct or accurate. So, this is just my opinion, maybe I might be wrong. Feel free to comment me back.
